Appreciation as the magic formula (The power of 'thank you' )

I woke up today quiet early in the morning. My alarm wasn't set. I was still a bit tired and wanted to fall back asleep. My dogs didn't let me. Surprise... They came over, jumped into the bed and licked me all over my face. I smiled. My heart was immediately filled up with love and I said aloud 'THANK YOU' .



Today I want to talk about why appreciation (here you can listen to the podcast version), why the feeling of gratitude and saying 'thank you' in your every day life is so powerful and works like magic.


Imagine for a moment, you have everything you have ever wanted, all your desires and wishes came true and you are living the life of your dreams. What do you feel? Exactly... GRATITUDE. You feel appreciation for your life. It is only one of the main emotions you feel when you are in a state of receivership. You definitely also feel at ease, you feel proud of yourself, you feel confident and empowered, probably even inspired and a huge zest for life.


Now you may tell yourself.. 'but I don't have an ideal life, I don't have everything I desire'.. I get it, we all don't, because we are humans and our desires are never ending and it is more than ok. But this is exactly the very reason why you have to be thankful now, why you have to appreciate your life now. Because you can never get it done, you will always ask for more. This is the game of life. Start to enjoy it. Start to appreciate it.



What does it actually mean to be in a state of appreciation?


It's simple. The state of appreciation equals the state of receiving. The more thankful you are for the things you already have, the more things you attract to be thankful for. I know it sounds cliché and you know this already. But as I always say, it's not the lack of knowledge but the lack of practice why most people struggle in life and don't achieve their goals. This applies to everything. We have an overload of information and lavish amount of tools at our fingertips, yet most people get stuck and confused because they do not start embodying and practicing what they learned.


That's why I encourage you to start today. To say 'thank you life', 'thank you for all the things I have, for all the things I learned and experienced and for the wonderful person that I am today'.


Try to implement this tiny little habit into your life and watch the miracles that appear.


With being grateful and appreciating all that you have, you signalise to the universe and to your subconscious mind that you are an abundant being, that you operate from a place of fullness, and that you are ready and worthy for more to come! The universe loves and appreciates a thankful heart.


Last but not least I want to give you some more practical tips, how to use the 'thank you' method, how to truly implement it in your everyday life:


  • Make appreciation your lifestyle!

    BE the person who says thank you all the time. You can do it quietly, as a way of self talk, or you can say it aloud. Start the morning with a thank you I'm alive. Enjoy every meal with a thank you for the fresh food. Any time you look into the mirror say thank you for being you. When you get dressed in your cozy clothes, say thank you for being fit. When you wait in line at the grocery store, say thank you for this little time for reflection.

    And these are just some of the examples. When saying thank you smile every time. Feel it through your whole body, how it resonates within. Close your eyes for just a second and become one with the power of thank you.



  • Make it your number one mantra for one whole month

    This is a bit similar to the previously mentioned technique, but I want you here to be more conscious of making it a habit and within one month 'thank you' will be your best friend, it will truly become part of your life. What you can do is, mark in your smartphone calendar for one whole month 'thank you'. So that every time you look at your day and to do list, you're gonna see right at the top the words thank you. It will be a daily reminder, that you're on a mission and you're creating a new habit


  • Write down everything you love in your life

    This is one of my favourite techniques. On the top of your list it says 'thank you for...' Now go on and write down anything and everything that comes to your mind. Take your time. Breathe. Be playful about it. I have a very long list in my phone notes that I go to regularly and I read them aloud. It fills my heart and soul every time with deep gratitude. And I always find new things to be grateful for, which I add to my list. A never ending list full of appreciation. How beautiful!


  • Write down everything that happens after you start the 'thank you method' , and look back on it in one month

    This is gonna blow your mind! I did this once and I was shocked how long my list was after a month and most importantly how much my life changed. How much I uplevelled and upgraded myself by this simple yet effective technique. So, on this second list you write on the top for example '1 month thank you challenge' and you will add everything to this list that comes into your life after you start practicing the power of thank you. Trust me, you will see result already after one day, you will be mind blown, you will be truly thankful and you will fall in love with your life, how easy it can get.


So.. With that being said, thank you for being here, I feel seen, I feel heared, I feel valued.
